Dr. Carmen Portela

Dr. Carmen graduated in 2005 from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Lisbon. She completed a post-graduation in internal medicine and developed a vast experience in general surgery, emergency/critical care, dentistry, and imaging from continuous education and through her work, first in a referral hospital in Portugal and after in a very busy hospital in Kuwait. After 9 years in Portugal, Dr. Carmen decided to accept the challenge of living and working outside of her comfort zone and in 2014 she moved to Kuwait.

Her contact with the Middle East culture has been so positive and rewarding that she is continuing her journey now in Dubai. Dr. Carmen joined our team in 2022 and hopes to keep providing the best level of care to all the animals that come across her.
