AVIAN & EXOTIC MEDICINE
Our clinic offers various services for birds and other exotic animals, from routine & diagnostic check-ups, treatment & hospitalization, and surgery, including orthopedic procedures. Dr. Abraham, which is specialized in avian medicine, mainly checks falcons and other birds in our Meydan branch.
Other exotic vet experts are located in Al Wasl and Mirdif branches which could also be able to examine or perform surgical procedures for both avian (parrots, canaries), exotic pets (reptiles, sugar slider), and small mammals (rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters).
Routine neutering (spay/castration) of rabbits & guinea pigs are procedures that can be performed safely in our clinics.
Exotic Wellness Exams
Like other animals, wellness exams are also crucial for avian and exotic friends. We recommend birds and exotic visits at our dedicated The City Vet Clinic branches annually; to make sure that they are healthy and for you to prevent medical surprises as much as possible. With exotic pets, it is a must to know the differences in each species to recognize certain illnesses. Wellness visits allow time to ask species-specific questions and give answers and insights about proper care and handling.

Illness & Treatment
If your pet shows sickness symptoms such as abnormal behavior in drinking, urination, and defecation, or any other symptoms out of the ordinary for them, don’t delay seeking care and treatment from one of our doctors.
Avians and other reptiles hide their illnesses or show signs and symptoms both in captivity and in the wild. Therefore, it is imperative to recognize changes in your pet’s behaviors and bring them to the clinic as soon as you observe the first signs of illnesses as something may have already been happening without being noticed.
